How much do you actually keep from a Roblox UGC sale?
Not 70%. Roblox's Marketplace revenue share is progressive: you start at 30% when you list at your category's price floor, and only reach 70% at six times that floor. A 95 Robux hat priced against a 90 Robux floor keeps about 31% — roughly 29 Robux per sale. The publishing advance is not a cost either: it is a refundable deposit that Roblox repays out of its own commission, so until it is repaid you receive the full list price on every sale. This calculator applies the official ladder, your category's current price floor, the 80 Robux upload fee and the advance for your item type, then tells you how many sales repay the advance and how many break you even.
The official revenue share ladder
Your share is set by how far your price sits above the category price floor.
| Price ÷ floor | You keep |
|---|---|
| 1× | 30% |
| 1.3× | 37% |
| 1.5× | 41% |
| 2× | 50% |
| 2.5× | 57% |
| 3× | 62% |
| 3.5× | 65% |
| 4× | 67% |
| 5× | 69% |
| 6× | 70% |
How to price a Roblox UGC item
Three steps from a guess to a number you can defend.
- 01
Start from the floor
Pick your category. The floor is what sets your revenue share — pricing at the floor locks you to 30%.
- 02
Read the ladder
Doubling your price does not double your income, it more than doubles it: the share jumps from 30% to 50% at 2× the floor.
- 03
Check break-even
Publishing advances run from 10 to 20,000 Robux. The calculator shows how many sales pay that back before you profit.
Four things other calculators get wrong
We checked the two other public Roblox UGC calculators against Roblox's own documentation.
"Creators keep 70%"
Only at six times the category price floor. The base rate is 30%. A calculator that assumes a flat 70% overstates your income by up to 2.3× at typical prices.
"The upload fee is 750 Robux"
It was, historically. Roblox moved it to 200 and then to 80 Robux in July 2026. Using 750 overstates your upfront cost by more than 9×.
"The creator royalty is 10%"
That is the resale royalty — the cut an original creator gets when someone flips their Limited on the secondary market. It has nothing to do with a first-hand sale.
"Your advance is recouped from the 30% Roblox takes"
The rebate is Roblox's entire commission, and at floor pricing that commission is 70%, not 30% — the split is the other way around. Assuming 30% overstates the sales you need by about 2.3×. Because the rebate is the platform's whole cut, you actually receive 100% of the list price on every sale until the advance is repaid.
FAQ
Where does the price floor come from?
Roblox stopped publishing price floors in June 2025 when it moved to regional pricing. We derive each category's floor daily from the lowest cluster of live listing prices in the US region, and you can override it if yours differs.
Is the publishing advance refundable?
No, but it is recouped: Roblox rebates its commission on your sales until the advance is paid back. The calculator treats it as an upfront cost you must earn back.
Which DevEx rate should I use?
Standard ($0.0038) for Robux earned after September 2025. Legacy ($0.0035) for older balances. The US 18+ rate ($0.0054) applies to spend from age-verified adult players in the United States.
Does this include the in-experience commission?
No. Items bought inside an experience pay the creator 30% and the experience owner 40%. This calculator models Marketplace sales, where the progressive share applies.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no credits.
